Q: “You have quite a broad educational background. Tell us about that.”
A: “Yes, I was educated in Germany, Mexico, Singapore, France, and the US.
“I spent a year with a family in the US and graduated from high school there. Then I graduated from a German high school. [Later, I] did an apprenticeship with a bank.”
Q: “Where did that lead?”
A: “To [the former] Coopers & Lybrand and, later, Fortis Intertrust.”
Q: “How has your foreign experience helped you?”
A: “My language skills allow me to…translate the technical into the global environment, human language.”
Q: “And why is communication relevant to people who buy financial services?”
A: “We have clients who are aware that they have to deal with tax advisors, etcetera. [They need to be] able to communicate that knowledge to their clients.”
